PropVida (“PropVida,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information of everyone who uses propvida.com, including Buyers, Sellers, Agents, Agencies, Landlords, Tenants, and individual Users (collectively, “you” or “User”).

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. This Policy should be read together with our [Terms and Conditions].

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Account details: name, email address, phone number, password, profile photo.
  • Identity/verification details: for Agents and Agencies — license/registration number, business name, GST/tax ID, office address, and supporting documents submitted for verification.
  • Listing information: property address, price, area, images, floor plans, ownership documents, rental terms, and descriptions you upload.
  • Communications: messages sent through inquiry forms, chat, or contact requests between Buyers/Tenants and Sellers/Landlords/Agents/Agencies.
  • Payment information: billing name, address, and payment details when purchasing a Membership plan or featured Listing (processed via third-party payment gateways; PropVida does not store full card numbers).
  • Support requests: information you share when contacting customer support.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, pages viewed, search queries, and time spent on the Platform.
  • Location data: approximate location (derived from IP address or, with your permission, precise device GPS) used to show relevant Listings near you.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: used for login sessions, preferences, analytics, and advertising (see Section 6).

1.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Verification agencies or public property/land records, where used to confirm ownership or licensing.
  • Social login providers (e.g., Google/Facebook), if you choose to register or sign in that way.
  • Marketing or referral partners who direct you to PropVida.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  1. Create and manage your account and Membership plan.
  2. Publish, display, and manage your Listings, including enforcing Membership listing limits and validity periods.
  3. Connect Buyers/Tenants with Sellers/Landlords/Agents/Agencies by facilitating inquiries and communication.
  4. Verify the identity, license, or authorization of Agents, Agencies, Sellers, and Landlords where required.
  5. Process Membership payments, renewals, and featured-Listing purchases.
  6. Personalize search results, recommendations, and property alerts.
  7. Send transactional communications (account confirmations, listing expiry/renewal reminders, inquiry notifications).
  8. Send marketing communications, where you have opted in (you may opt out at any time).
  9. Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, fake Listings, duplicate accounts, or abuse of the Platform.
  10. Analyze usage to improve Platform features, performance, and security.
  11. Comply with legal, regulatory, or law-enforcement requirements.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it in the following circumstances:

  • Between Users: Contact details and inquiry messages are shared between a Buyer/Tenant and the relevant Seller/Landlord/Agent/Agency to facilitate a transaction, only after an inquiry is initiated (or as your account/Listing settings permit).
  • Agencies and linked Agents: Where you operate under an Agency profile, relevant account and Listing data may be visible to Agency administrators.
  • Service providers: payment gateways, cloud hosting, SMS/email delivery, analytics, customer support, and verification vendors who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
  • Marketing/advertising partners: for analytics and ad personalization, subject to your cookie/marketing preferences (see Section 6).
  • Legal and safety purposes: to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of PropVida, our Users, or the public.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

4. Data Related to Listings and Public Profiles

4.1 Information included in a published Listing (property details, images, approximate location, and the Seller’s/Agent’s/Agency’s name and contact number, where you choose to display it) is publicly visible to anyone browsing the Platform. 4.2 Agent and Agency public profiles (name, license number where applicable, active Listings, ratings/reviews) are visible to other Users to support trust and verification. 4.3 You are responsible for not including sensitive personal information (e.g., ID numbers, financial details) in Listing descriptions or images.

5. Data Retention

5.1 We retain account and Listing information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, dispute-resolution, or fraud-prevention obligations. 5.2 Expired or removed Listings may be retained in archived/inactive form for record-keeping and shown as “inactive” in your account history, even though they are no longer publicly visible. 5.3 Membership and payment records are retained as required under applicable tax and financial regulations.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

6.1 PropVida uses cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you logged in and remember preferences (essential cookies);
  • Understand how the Platform is used (analytics cookies);
  • Show relevant property ads on and off the Platform (advertising cookies).

6.2 You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may affect Platform functionality. 6.3 Where required by local law, we will request your consent before setting non-essential cookies via a cookie banner/preference center.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • Request deletion of your account and associated personal data, subject to legal retention requirements;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, including marketing communications;
  • Withdraw consent previously given (e.g., for location access or marketing);
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format;
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Marketing Communications

You may receive Listing alerts, newsletters, or promotional messages from PropVida if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email/SMS or by adjusting your account notification settings. You will continue to receive essential transactional messages (e.g., listing expiry notices) even after opting out of marketing.

9. Data Security

9.1 We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, access controls, secure hosting) to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. 9.2 No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security, and you share information at your own risk. 9.3 If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected Users and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

10. Children’s Privacy

PropVida is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

11. International Data Transfers

If you access the Platform from outside the country where our servers or service providers are located, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in a different jurisdiction. We take steps to ensure such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.

12. Third-Party Links

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., payment gateways, social media, mapping services). PropVida is not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies separately.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. The “Last Updated” date at the top will indicate the most recent revision. Material changes will be notified via the Platform or registered email. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
